  • The Need

    As part of a drinking water quality improvement strategy for Port Harcourt in Nigeria, we were awarded a contract to build two Containerised Water Treatment Systems.

    The project was co-ordinated by Shell in Nigeria.

  • The Solution

    The plants comprised of:

    • Forced Draft Aerator
    • Pre Chlorination System with Conditioning Tank
    • Filtration System using Duplex Parallel Mode Multi-Media Beds with Automatic Backwash
    • A Microfiltration System
    • UV Sterilization
    • Post Chlorination System
  • The Benefits

    Kirton Engineering provided the control system together with monitoring for pH, Chlorine and Turbidity.
