Kirton Engineering has over 40 years experience in the manufacturing of water recycling and treatment systems. Water recycling systems are enjoying an expanding market at present due to the savings they can offer in the present climate of stricter effluent discharge consents and rising effluent charges. The drought of 1989 brought many non essential operators to a standstill due to the ban by water authorities on the use of mains water and has led to ongoing legislation regarding the use of hose pipes.
We have combined our experience of water treatment processes with a range of comprehensive maintenance programs to maximise the availability and reliability of the water treatment process.
Recent rapid improvements in car wash design and operation with features such as hot and cold wax has prompted the introduction of an equally improved GHD water recycling system to match. The equipment is designed to work with moving gantry or conveyor vehicle washes using hot or cold wax, shampoo and rinse aids and will breakdown and remove emulsified hydrocarbons, suspended solids, and detergents.
For commercial vehicle washing and under chassis cleaning we offer the HC reclaim which is an ideal solution for treating the effluent from bus, coach and lorry washes that use basic shampoos and rinse aids.
The Kirton range of jet wash water reclaim systems are able to treat the effluents produced from standard body washing to full MOT preparation where substantial amount of grease and oil may be present.
Settlement of sludge and silt is carried out using our above / below ground interceptors and can be installed with a coalescent filter to remove the free oils and grease. Sizing of the sump is calculated based on the flow rate and the individual application and our reclaim technical department will be more than happy to offer advice on this.
