Membrane Technology
Kirton Engineering Limited specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of Membrane Filtration Systems. Systems include both Ultra filtration and Reverse Osmosis membrane filtration for municipal and industrial application.
The systems are individually designed for effluent treatment, brackish water treatment and seawater desalination.
Effluent Treatments Systems
- Individually designed from each and every application.
- Comprising of both Ultra filtration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO)
- The unit provides a water quality suitable for reuse.
- Recovery Rates in excess of 75%
Brackish Water Treatment Systems
- Suitable for TDS ranging from 100mg/l to 10,000TDS
- Pre filtration and Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filtration.
- Product Water quality of 2 - 200TDS, (dependant upon feed quality)
- Recovery Rates in Excess of 80%
Sea Water Desalination Systems
- Suitable for TDS ranging from 30,000 to 47,000TDS
- Pre filtration and High Pressure Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filtration.
- Product Water quality of less the 500 mg/l TDS, (WHO standards)
- Recovery Rates in the region of 40%
System Control
- PLC Controlled, utilising Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi.
- Scada Facilities or mimic display available upon request.
- All control panels and MCC centres designed to a minimum of IP65.
Plant Installation

- Fully skilled and trained pipe fitters and Electrical Engineers
- All site work complies with CDM regulations
